I just installed one in my SC today. I bought it from thepartsbin.com, it's the Porsche part in the box and everything. I didnt drain the oil, althought I might be a qt low.

Good recommendation on the website, and also the timely hint. How had your sender been playing up ?...Mine hovers between a full scale delfection (short circuit) and very low / zero reading....

My sender read full most times, off the chart actually. Occasionally it would run low as well. I checked the wires at the sender and 1 was broken. I fixed that with the same no change. I have the exhaust off the car right now so I cant fire it up to check it, but I hope this fixes it.
