Factory Porsche Repair manuals

I bought a set ( all Red cover binders) consisting of the main Vol 1 and Vol 2 and the 4 additional sets which works up to the SC. This was from a auto book store and it was major $. I then got newer set, in a trade deal with set 1 and 2 red and the rest with Grey cover binder. I went thru the big buck older set and made copies to fill it correctly from the newer set. I made a copy of about 50 pages that were missing from the major $ older set. Some 15 or so pages were the larger color fold out electric maps. I keep one set in Texas and the other in California. Say $1200 or so worth of books. But, if you need then they are priceless.

So beware, You really need to assure, page by page that a set is complete. A few hours of work.

Factory is my 3rd source. I use Bentely as a second source. Primary is 101.

Normally missing pages in factory manuals are unfilled supplements... As far as I know Porsche never tracked manual owners, and it was up to the holders of manuals to constantly pester their dealer regarding supplements. I don't even think that my set is complete! It would be great if the owners of factory manuals could communicate the need for a set of pages, and someone who has them could either print & mail a set, or maybe even fax them. For instance, the last current flow chart that I have is for 1980, I would love to have the wiring info for the later SCs. By the way, I don't have a set of 3.2 factory books...

Pete and others,
My 911 is kind of a frankenstein, being an 89 carrera (non C4) with a 964 engine swap. I have a bently that covers the SC chassis, but I don't have any information for the 964 engine. I need to do some maintenance and repairs (valve adjust and timing tensioners), but I don't have a decent refernence. It seems as though both bently and hanynes manuals stop at '89. Any advice?

Ryan: I don't know the best way to approach your problem, except to try to find someone with factory 964 manuals, and have the engine section copied. If you've done the type of work, on earlier models, that your car now needs, not a lot will be different - design philosophy remains pretty consistent. Take lot's of pictures for your own use (routing of the lower plug wires, etc.); I'm sure that you'll be OK.

Peter, I have:

Current flow Diagram SC USA Model 81, same title and Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, color Current Flow chart, plus 4 single black and white sheets.

Current Flow Diagram SC USA Model 82, same title and Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, color flow chart.

I cant find 1983, it may be in my California set.

If you want a copy of the above I will be happy to copy them when we are in Dallas next time and send them to you. Should take me less than a week to do so. Will pm you when done to get an address.

This is offered only as a non-payment item. Any mention of payment by Peter Zimmerman, AKA Zimmaster, will make this offer null and void.
