Hecho en Mexico
1996. This video was done in a moment of madness, at an event put together by a few clubs, and run in downtown Ensenada, Mexico. You will find that the vibration that the roll bar mounted camera (Sony 8mm Handycam with Steady Shot) was subjected too was extreme due to a combination of rough pavement and very stiff suspension. The car that I’m driving was my ’81 SC coupe, and it was the last event before the engine was “breathed on” and the conversion to wide body was done. The car was already fitted with racing T-bars, S-bars, Sport Bilsteins, trick bushings/monoballs, RSR-style front dam, bi-wing tail and SSIs. Because of the increased risk (the level of automotive carnage was pretty high) Kate spent most of this weekend in the grandstands with her eyes covered (between crashes)! Fortunately, we escaped with nothing more than a couple of stone chips! I did some in-car footage, after this, but found that the level of vibration even on the freeway was something that I didn’t want to deal with, so this is it. I hope that you enjoy the video, but if it's too hard to watch let me know and I'll pull it down...

Here. BTW Pete, make sure the link looks something like: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6db4MjkMbGg" instead of the link to your personal logged in page on youtube.

Wow what a ballsy move on that first Corner taking those two cars , and it looked like that 944 was a pain to get past. too bad we couldn't see the distance you put on the cars after you passed.
