A man goes into a bar......no.....that is another topic.
I purchase a lovely '84 coupe (pictured) several months ago. It came with a mound of paperwork and owner manual. So after a quick glass of courage I call information and ask for this mans name clear on the other side of the country. I get his sister and he no longer lives there but she kindly provides his phone number. A lady answers, trust me, this is going somewhere.
Turns out that sure enough her husband owned the car in '84, she puts him on.
I explained I have his old car, he replies "I have the new car window sticker from that car and we were just about to throw it out, what is your address?".
Ohhhhhhhh Mommmmmy! you gotta be kiddin!

I got it in the mail today and I am beside myself (it doesn't take much).
Just sometimes life is fair. Now I have my cars birth certifcate.
Who keeps window stickers of cars they have not owned for 23 years? He sold the car with only 1500 miles on the clock. That is my story.
