Talking cleaning engine, seal replacement tools

While replacing the clutch in a '70 911T, I'm thinking of replacing the trans. seal and crank seal. The car is being sold, so I want to do it right. I have no problem replacing the $6 flywheel bolts, I just have a problem paying $100+ for seal drivers. Anyone have a suggestion for alternatives? Tips? Maybe, a certain size socket welded on a pipe to clear the shaft? Haven't removed flywheel yet so I'm not sure what size the seal is. Same on the trans, I haven't removed the t/o bearing slide tube. What about the flywheel pilot bearing? Is this pressed in or driven in with a driver?

Also, I need to clean the engine and trans while it's out. On the race circuit, we just use brake parts cleaner on just about everything (of course, the car is emaculate anyway). I have Castrol parts cleaner (the purple stuff) in my shop, but it says not to use on aluminum. What parts of this engine & trans are going to be aluminum?

All help and suggestions are appreciated!
Jeff
