My friend's Dad had that exact car and sold it back in '96 in NH. His car only had 20K on it and he sold it for $25.5K. I think the $30K is 7-8K to high in my opinion. Someone would really want to have that exact car to get that much.

Yeah fab - but I am biassed I have the cab version and over in the UK there was only ever 10 - not an ultra rare car but IMHO a milestone car that will hold its edge in future years over std cars from the same era - so long a the history and condition are appropriate...
I too just love the colour and the signature is even more noticed on a cab!
Cheers

It went to a collector. I emailed him info regarding both Rennlist and the Pelican forum, but haven't seen him at either yet. FWIW, selling the car was a nightmare- we must have had a dozen stealerships call and offer "$22k, right here, right now, no hassles, immediate transfer". That and lots of people trying to tell me that there isn't a Carrera in the world worth more than $20k. Anyhow, I actually prefer the looks of the Diamond Anniversary cars- looked at a Targa a while back but just couldn't do it financially at that time.

Cheers,

Paul.

Not an anniversary edition, but I like mine all the same!

My opinion is that the CE/SE cars are not really worth much extra due to being a "special edition", but since they come in a color combo that is desirable, the prices in general will be strong.

Just because I'm curious - does anyone know what the price premium was for a CE/SE car when it was new?

I was indifferent until I got one. The factory short shift and 8" fuchs are nice. And I appreciate the upgraded leather, console and carpet everytime I get in.

But I agree about the desirable color combo bringing a bit more money. And maybe some of them have been better cared for? Mine shows evidence of that (like just no sign of wear in the interior).

I've attached the price option. 5,695.00 Ouch! For that much money you could have gotten radio delete, sunroof delete, rear seat delete, power seat delete... hey, wait a minute

thanks. The previous owner made the change - it didn't come that way from the factory. I'm a big fan of polished spokes on the later fuchs.
