Default Will SC shift **** fit Carrera?

I assume the SC shift ***** have a collar that tightens down on the shift lever? Is that correct? If so, can I use a **** that fits through 86 on my 87?

I need to replace my shift **** and the selection is far greater if I'm able to use one with a collar rather than the stock mount type.

Anyone else used an aftermarket **** on their Carrera? Recommendations?

I have great luck with Momo *****. They have different size sleeves to fit most sizes of shift levers. I have changed the **** in my Carrera a few times using Momo.

at RRI I bought a Momo similar to this one for my '87 & am very happy w/ it (I've had to retighten it once) http://www.momousa.com/detail.php?ca...10&product=422
Momo has a good selection, very good materials. I believe you are correct, that the collar-tightening type of fixture will work on both the 915 & G50 gearbox shift levers.

I think I'll stick to something a bit more traditional.

I was thinking something made of wood. Yes, a woody. Ok, I said it. Just for you iceman!!

... on a more serious note .... if that is possible

I saw some beautiful wood ***** at Hershey last year. The guys hand made them with the Porsche crest on it and 20 something layers of lacquer. They were not cheap and the guys said they were more for the 356 but he did say they would fit with his colloar design. real nice..

I allmost bough one as my car is Brown with Tan interior and it would have looked sharp , but I was going to come back and forgot all about it .

Yeah that's them ! ... I have seen them in person and they are really nice , because they are real wood no two are the same. I think if I remember correctly it uses a collet to fasten down and works really well.

Wow 5 woodies .......

I really am drawn to these more than the modern shiny metal Momo styles. Then again, I have metal pedals. But these just seem right for my car. What do you think?

I searched for ages for the "right" ****..... I eventually went for a Nardi - I had wanted MOMO to match the pedal set that I added to the car - but none of them felt right to me.
This is the one I went for ... I got mone form crowders customizing (often on ebay) but same as this...

I was in the same situation as you .. didn't want any bling but didn't want it to look olsd either. If I go back To Hershey I iwll get one of the wood ones .. the one I ended up picking up was okay but temporary. I have my old **** sitting in front of me right now .. and it certainly looks worn out ...

I do like that. I think I'm going with wood, despite my shiny metal pedals. It's practical in a convertible since it won't get too hot to handle in the sun.

Now, do I want the long Nardi woody or the short stubby Manely?
