I'm surprised to see so few 911's signed up for the Open Track Challenge @ <a href="http://www.opentrackchallenge.com/" target="_blank">http://www.opentrackchallenge.com/</a>

This event, 7 tracks in 7 days (kinda like a west coast version of One Lap but with tons more track time) would seem to be an ideal motorsports vacation for a 911 guy. I shy away because my non-M BMW, although modified and well-tracked, would probably not have the brakes. I am lurking here as I build my case for buying an SC or Carrera as a better track/street car but wonder if you guys are telling me indirectly that a ~15 year old 911 wouldn't cut it at this kind of event???

I am pretty mcuh entered this year - I need a car but am too scared to take the 911. I will probably do a BMW 2002 and hopefully won't get into too much trouble.
