Default help!!!

so im having an issue with my 1982 porsche 911 sc. The car seems to be idling a little high and then when i try to drive it, it breaks up bad around 2k rpm. The car honestly just miss fires and will not accelerate! There seems to be an abnormaly loud hissing on the right side of the engine. I cant find any vacuum leaks, and i dont know where else to look! Do i have a cracked air box? are my spark plugs possibly that bad?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Joe

Airbox may be leaking? Do you have the pop-off valve?

sounds like it could be many things, leaking air box under load, gaskets for the runners, or poor fuel pressure causing it to run off. If you don't find anything obvious might mean a trip to the doc to get fuel pressures and CO checked.

make sure your pop off valve is sealing properly, also mine has a fair amount of " hiss" may be a red herring.
