I am considering a re spray for my dark blue "85 Carrera but have no idea where to take it. Does anyone know of a good paint shop in the Minneapolis St. Paul area? Also, what would a quality re spray cost? I'm assuming I should stay away from the likes of Maaco. Thanks for any help!

For a quality paint job using basecoat/clearcoat or 2 stage style its gonna cost you between $1000 to $2000. Thats not for perfect paint but close enough. Don't forget to use a high quality paint.

P.S. Macco should be a word that is never heard for a porsche owners mouth. No offense.

Paul--
A good quality respray is likely to cost you a good deal more than $1000 - $2000. In addition to recommendations you might get here, I suggest asking around at any local PCA events in your area. Folks there can generally steer you to quality places.
good luck.
