Default 911 Engine Sealants--Loctite vs Yamabond

I have the Dempsey and Anderson books. I have used Loctite 574. However, in a discussion with a very credible Porsche machine shop person, I mentioned that I was a Yamabond fan from aircraft and racing motorcycle engine builds. He also liked Yamabond because of the elastic qualities. Planes and bikes are much cooler than the more contained 911 engine. Anyone out there with user knowledge?

I build alot of high performance VW engines and Yamabond is the best. I prefer it over the factory sealant, the loctite porsche sealant, permatex, etc. i have tried them all.
they are no longer making yamabond something with the EPA or something like that. But there is something called 3 Bond, i forget which # but it is exactly the same as the yamabond

I love it! I've been using it on aircooled engines for years. They still make it
I just bought some and used it to put the 2.7 together.

Went to my nearest Yamaha dealer (Calif) and they had 3Bond #1194, Yamabond #5, and #6 said EPA banned Yamabond 4. Called another dealer and they had the old Yamabond 4. Guess I will buy a few tubes there. Unsure about other states with Yamahabond 4.
