Post 915 Trans mount

Folks:
It turns out that "club sport" mounts ( aka. Cabriolet mounts) fit not only at the engine, but also at the transmission-end. Oddly, however, it appears that when used at the transmission end, you don't use the upper, large concave washer. Standard mounts at this location don't use the upper washer , either.
Has anyone done it that way, and what are the pros and cons?

Wil,
Haven't done this yet, but it's on The List. Thanks for the post. Could pls. pass along driving & shifting impressions when you get a chance. Have you noticed a difference?

Ted:
It turns out my friend did this on his 85 Wide Body. Says he can't feel a difference. Looking for more data points.

RoninLB:
No one said anything about "removing" washers. I simply said that ( it apears) as stock...the front trans mounts use the washers on the bottom only, whereas for the rear ( engine mounts) seem to come stock with top and bottom washers. If this is the case, I was asking if anyone had ( instead) used both top and bottom washers on the trans side, and how it worked out.
