Post OT: Value of 600SL

I'm looking to buy a friends 600 SL, It has 14,000 original miles, super clean. what do you guys think a fair price is?

Wouldn't we need to know the year of the car you're looking at to help you?

Check cars.com and autotrader.com and see what they are going for there, as well.

Sounds like a great car. I LOVE that 600SL and SEC series. I sat in Black/Black 600SL once on a showroom floor about 4 years ago and I think I remember it costing $135,000 new. Whew - sweet machine. Talk about luxury compared to our 88 911's.

They are advertised for about 30-34K with 50-60k miles. It might be a reach but you could add about 4-5 thousand for the low miles.

FWIW, check out the repair costs on the V12. I've heard that they are horrendous vis-a-vis cost. Other than that, sweet ride. And for a $100k off the new price, a very sweet ride.
