Oh hell.. just re-read your post. Call Raine over at Passport BMW in Marlow Hights, he's in sales but he's an enthusiast that knows his cars. Was the club newletter editor for 20+ years.

I found lots of help regarding my X3 tranny problems. I used the info from the forums to "twist" my dealers arm in getting the problem resolved (mostly anyway)
