Hello,
I am contemplating the use of camber brace and the braces that go on the inside of a targa.
These would be the ones that are attached at the seat belt attachments.
Anyone have any insight on these products and the benefits or otherwise of their use.
Thanks,
Mike

I can not say I have riden in a Targa with the Targa brace or even examined one in person. I have seen a sale photo of one and if my mechanical engineering degree serves be correctly than I really doubt there is going to be much of a difference at all. What the Targa needs to be stiffer is a substitue for a roof and that just isn't going to cut it. I think this is more of a product that peopel will buy when they have money burning a hole in their pocket. Look at any popular car on the internet and you will see that people will buy just about anything that is sold so that they can customize or show what modifications they have. People just are not content with stock even if it does not make a difference.
I first heard about the targa brace and had an idea of what it might be but after I saw a picture I immediately wrote it off as a gimmick. I would need to see some before and after numbers to even believe anyone that says it helps.
