Jack Olsen had one installed in Black Beauty and I recall that its on the list for BB2 as well. He swore by it and his cupholder
(to be fair, I installed cupholders in my '85 as well and don't apologize for it at all.)

I got mine from <a href="http://performanceproducts.com/ProductPage.aspx?ProductName=Interior+Light+Delay+Switch&productid=10355 5&producttype=20" target="_blank">Performance</a>, but that's the expensive way to do it (not that we're talking about very much money, either way).

Courtesy Light Delay 12V (picture)
A clever and useful circuit for the driver. When you enter the car and the doors are closed it keeps the interior lights on for a few seconds to give you time to put the key in the lock, fasten your seat-belt and start the car. Stop fumbling in the dark! The same delay is introduced when you leave the car giving you time to check the alarm system and see if you have forgotten something. The delay is adjustable. The circuit has been designed to work off the car battery and it is small enough to fit anywhere in the car. PCB size 46x58mm. 12 VDC
Order Code: CPS1115 (Basic Soldering-Kit) Price $8.95

On this subject.. I want to put a light right above the key hole on the dash. Anyone know what/where a wire is to tap into near there on a 1980 911 sc to wire in a light (i'm thinking LED) with a delay.? This would need to be switched from the door switch I would guess..
Thanks!
Chuck
