Unhappy Stuck Oil Pressure Gauge ??? - 88 911

My Oil Pressure Gauge is at 2.5 on idle. On acceleration it swiftly goes to 3 but then comes to a halt. It subsequently goes down to 2.5 on idle. The car runs very strong as confirmed by recent compression test, leak down test and tune up. Do these get stuck? HELP

Yes, they can get stuck. But more likely, your sender is bad. They run about $75 and can be either a cinch or a nightmare to replace.

On my '72, a 17mm crowfoot wrench was needed...the size may be different on a later model car. Symptoms do sound like a bad sender...
