Hi I have the 25 jahre celebration car, which was a combination of the 25 year and 250,000 car built. They also came with plaques (often removed by orig owners as a keepsake.)
The USA only silver anniversary car plaque was oblong - I think - where as the celebration had a round one, I have attached a scan I have done out of a book of what your plaque should look like.
Celebration car sold world wide but Im fairly sure that the silver anniversary car was USA only avab in silver or metalic black.
Cheers

Paul,

Car looks great! Can I ask the reason you are selling your car? You may remember that you helped me post pictures of my '89 SA that I bought earlier this year.

David:

I am helping a friend sell his car- my '89 targa is staying in the garage- no plans to sell until I can afford a 993 C4s! This car has been a garage queen the whole time he has owned it- and he needs garage space. I hope to go look at it this weekend- will post more pictures soon...

Cheers,

Paul.

Paul,

My mistake...now I realize that the '89 SA is not your car. In any case best wishes for a quick and profitable sale of your friends car.

Its good to see that the SA's appear to be worth the extra $$$'s.

DiamondCarrera,

Thank you for posting the picture of the plague. I guess the previous owner of my car removed it.

My car has 96k miles, I bought it a year ago. The wheels have silver painted inserts with polished outer edges. Were these wheels the orginal or is the polished part of the wheels aftermarket?

thanks,

Jon

Jon,

The wheels on an SA have silver/gray centers with machined/polished(?) edges. In other words they look like the Fuch's on a standard Carrera but for the silver/gray centers.

My SA's the plaque is unmounted. It still has the peel off layer on the adhesive side. It will stay that way and safely stored in a door pocket. I'm sort of glad the original dealer and or PO's did not bother to affix it to the glove box door.

Sorry I have looked in my books but no specific details to rim-stock. You could try searching for an original brochure via auto-meets/eaby etc or try POrsche Historical dept Stuttgart or maybe PCA website??
Sorry my car the 25 jahre version came with colour coded fuchs (diamond blue) other silver anniversary cars I have seen came in silver or met. black with body colour coded fuchs also... hope that helps (a bit).
Cheers

Diamond Carrera:

Hate to take things off topic, but Where in Worcestershire are you?

I am going to take more pics of the car tonight. I think I am out of space for pictures- if so, I will post a link to the additional info on the Pelican forum.

Cheers,

Paul.
