Question Bosch Platinum +4 Plugs for 911SC

I have a set of Bosch Platinum 4 plugs I want to install in my 83' 911SC 3.0 , I have heard I can install with no problem and run a little better, yet Bosch does not show this plug for 78-83
Anyone used these in SC ( motor is Stock)

John,

I've used the Bosch Plat. 4 for about 10K miles with no ill effects. Others have complained about platinum running problems, rough idle, etc. but I have not had any of these. Others have mentioned that the OEM NGK or Bosch equivalents work better. I'm switching back to the OEM recommendation just to see if there is a difference. BTW: Do a search for 'platinum' and see what your search come up with. Have read that the Bosch plats. have/had a problem w/ the electrode popping off in the combustion chamber....not good. Again, never experienced personally.

I run the NGK's in my 83SC.It is best to stick with OEM unless you have upgrades. You'll get your best bang for the buck on exhaust upgrade with your 83SC.The plugs will not do much if anything.

Stay with the standard plugs , you'll get peace of mind and you wouldn't gain anything from these more expensive plugs .

FWIW, on my 81SC, I used the standard Bosch copper and NGK copper plugs, both which worked fine.
