the fix is in for #2. I stopped by one of our local Porsche performance shops that sent me to another place and told me to say "Motion" sent me. The part 805 54011 649 that I paid $20+ for last go round was $7.95 this time. Am I now in the inner circle, or does that come when I can pick up an SC for $14,000?

finally put in the switch tonight. from start to finish it was about 45 minutes. Why do my speed wrenches only go to 21mm when the switch is 22mm? Then I put in new pencil lights for fun up front.
thank you Peter Z. I now have stop lights by just tapping the brakes.

Peter, the guy was already parked behind me. We were both stopped at the light. The second I let off the brake I got clobbered. The light turned green and he went. I was still looking for the clutch and got pushed about 10 feet into the intersection. He must have planned on hitting me, been too drunk to realize I was not going, or thinking it was a street race and he better go early 'cause he didn't have a prayer if he sat still too long. I know chasing after him wasn't too bright, but man it was fun. A brand new honda in the hands of a kid vs. 20 year old Porsche in the hands of a 40 year old with 500,000 miles under his belt. Who are you gonna bet on? again, thank you Peter, with out your help much worse could have happened last night...

Your list and mine are similar
Regarding #6. I can't shut off my heat completely either (driver's side only). I checked and the flapper box appears to be opening. In other words, I can see 3 triangular-shaped holes when I move the lever to the off position. They are covered in the on position.
So why do I have heat coming in? Is there something more to the flapper boxes that I don't know about?
Regarding #17 your doors swinging too wide....
I bought the upgrade kit to fix this problem in mine. As I understand it, if you allow it to persist the damage can be severe to the point of requiring a new door. So the $80 kit seemed like a good deal. Part #911168 911 Door Stop Fix Brace and Late Style Door Stop Kit $89.95 from Performance Products (automotion.com)
#10 Leather off shift ****. Mine too. I'm trying to figure out what the fitment is for this car. Seems like all the cool ***** say they work on the SC but not the Carreras. What's up with this?

#6 The debate on "open" or "closed" is an ongoing one. What ever it is called the flapper box is allowing heat into the cab when it shold not be. Inside the flapper box is a "flapper" that must have a rubber or foam or felt seal that isn't sealing. that heat is sucked into the cab just by the vacuum created by the open windows or having the top down. You can adjust the thermostat or the cable, but if the seal isn't sealing you get heat. You don't even have to have a fan on. dang it gotta go....

Went on a shopping stree this morning at Performance Products and got what I need for #13, and #17, as well as new bushings for the sway bar, and windshield wipers. I even qualified for the free jacket. I get the dark blue one sent to me at no charge...not that I spent the money today, but over ten months I am at almost $2,000. Ouch....Dang it! I forgot the sterio removal kit. Isn't loose wires on my list?

LOL!
Heater boxes are "off" when the valves are all the way open, which diverts hot air out of the system and under the car. When the heater is "on" the valves should be closed, which forces the hot air forward into the cockpit. If the valves are visually open all the way, and hot air still enters the car, the box/boxes must be replaced. Many times the white bowden tubes, that the cables pass through, fail, and prevent the boxes from opening all the way (heater off).
