Factory Air Compressor
Where is the factory compressor stored in a 1987 911 coupe? The owners manual section on changing a flat says to remove the jack, toolkit, spacesaver spare and compressor. I recently bought an original compressor on ebay because mine was missing (I think), but there doesn't seem to be any logical place to store it near the tire, jack and tool kit. Thanks.

That would be the COMPRESSOR for inflating a flat tire (in the front trunk ). The A/C compressor is attached to the engine.. If you open the rear deck lid - you'll see the AC compressor, top right, bolted to the engine...

Yes, it's the spare tire compressor I'm asking about. I figured it should go in the trunk, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to secure it. Given how heavy it is, I can't imagine it just lying in the trunk.
