Default oil line restrictor - does this look right?

I bought a 1988 Carrera Targa last winter, and I am still in the period of time where you try to figure out the history of the car; specifically, if any configuration on the car is non-standard due to modifications or "repairs" made by the the previous owner(s) or their mechanic(s).

I was looking at one of the oil tank hoses going into the top of the tank near the fill cap (see pictures). The end of the hose is cracked; ok - basic rubber fatigue. However, when I try to match it up to various diagrams from difference references , my configuration does not appear to look the same . My references are: (1) Porsche - Parts & Technical Reference Catalog - 911 Models 1974 - 1989; (2) Bentley - Porsche 911 Service Manual 1984 - 1989.

Can anyone tell if this looks normal, or is some sort of reasonable modification? One picture is the hose as connects to the small tube - next to the fill pipe. It is just (cracked) rubber; no "restrictor" or small clamps. The other picture is some device the the hose (off the tube) then goes into; in series between the tank and the crankcase (?). Note: in picture #2, the device is not in its normal position; I moved it so I could take the picture. The device is attached to a metal bracket which is not attached to anything - hence my suspicion.
