Hi,
the ratchet mechanism on my passenger seat is damaged. It still works and the seat angle can be adjusted with the lever near the seat belt fastener, but when some weight is applied to the seat back, the ratchet is slipping and the seat reclines a few notches.
This happens when someone is sitting in the seat and I accelerate quickly, or if I go over a bump in the road so the load on the back of the seat momentarily increases and the seat back reclines a few notches
I was wondering if this had happened to any of you before and if there are replacement parts available for the ratchet mechanism? or do any of you have any spares I could buy?
The tilt lever on the bolster has also stopped working.
My girlfriend thinks this is something I've done intentionally as after a few spirited launches she ends up horizontal in the seat![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
any ideas?

if it was just my girlfriend I'd leave it
unfortunately I often give my flatmate a lift to work. He's a 22 stone Texan guy (which significantly exaggerates the symptoms of the knackered seat) and the boys at work give me some really dodgy looks when we roll into the carpark with him on his back ![ooops](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon501.gif)
I'll have a look at pelican, cheers

what a pain.
I've decided to leave mine for a few weeks as I've just ordered some new parts for the car and blown this months budget.
I'm planning on having my seats out, repair the passenger seat and then get them recovered (leather bolsters and suede squabs all in black)
is it just your tilt mech thats not working?
Nick
