Default clutch engagement 1990 C2 vs. 1982 SC

I have a '90 C2 that I just bought (first porsche) that the clutch was replaced a few years ago. I know that mine has the G50 with hydraulic clutch. My clutch engages close to the top.

I was driving my friend's '82 SC and his clutch engages more to the floor. I know his has a different trans and cable clutch.

Is this normal clutch engagement for my 911?

Yes.

If bled correctly your clutch is not adjustable. If it takes high and there's no slip then your OK.

On the old 915 you can pretty much set the clutch wherever you like..

3, welcome to RL. You'll probably have more responses if you post on the 964 section (89.5-94 model years). The 993 clutch is also hydraulic, and even when mine was fairly worn, its engagement point was more around the 1/2-way point. Might need a new slave cylinder, or at least have it bled. Good luck!
