St. Louis Porsche shops/mechanics and specialty shops?
Any recommended St. Louis area shops for mechanical work and shops for 911 items?
Addresses or phone numbers if you have them-I live outside of St. Louis.
Thanks!
Gary

Hi Gary,
Try Autobahn, 8100 Watson Road, 314-843-1003. John has been servicing Porsches (almost exclusively) for many years and did some endurance racing in the past. He knows his stuff and his proces are reasonable.
Also Reid Vann, 9331 Manchester Rd., 314-968-4100. Similar to above, maybe a little pricier?
There's also a guy between Springfield and Decatur, IL: John Vogel, Route 54, Chestnut, IL, 217-796-3500. He's a former dealer mechanic and he does a lot of overflow work for Isringhausen Porsche.
I'm in Edwardsville; where are you?

Hey Dave, hello from Jefferson City! I plan on pulling the heads for new valve guides this winter. Do you know if any of the shops you suggested will do this kind of work? Sure would be nice to just drive to St. Louis to drop the heads off as opposed to shipping them somewhere.
