I have a 85 Carrera that has a power draw somewhere. If a take the negative cable off the battery and put a test light to it, and to a body ground the test light comes on. Any ideas on how to start tracking down the short?

Do what you did and then start pulling fuses one at a time out of the fusebox, when the light shuts off, you found it.
