SC Project Update. It's really Red.
List, I thought I'd share the most recent pics of my '79 SC. These pics were taken around June 20th, a few days after getting it back from the paint shop. I'm really pleased with the depth of the color. It's painted with Glausurit <sp> clear coat base coat guards red. Over the last month I've gotten the car about 97% complete. I've installed all new rubber, new H4's, refinished all the trim, headliner and a bunch of other stuff that I've already forgotten. I now lack a few more minor pieces, a front windshield and hopefully I'll be able to put the thing into service. I've got new Dunlop SP8000's to install today. I'm shooting for an Aug 17th launch date. The pics are at http://www2.netdoor.com/~magown/sc/
Enjoy

Thats really great! Working on the car, getting your hands dirty. You will (or may now) know more about 911's than 90% of the board when your done!
A full body job, and engine stuff... That is a full course on "911" my friend.

Wow, your project is great motivation for me to rebuild my engine. Damn, i didn't know you could pull the 911 engine out by just placing it up on jacks and removing the rear bumper, i thought i'd at least need a lift. Wow, good stuff. Car looks great, love the paint, looks like that old Porsche color "Bahia Red".
