I just measured my brake pads today and am posting a quick note.
Front: HAWK HPS 7.9mm left after 42K miles (w/new rotor Zimmerman X-drilled)
Rear: PBR Ceramics 3.2mm left after 31K miles (w/new rotor Zimmerman)
I knew I loved the Hawks but I did not know it was this much !
I assume the pads started at 10mm.
Notes: The HPS are, as expected, a bit tough on the rotors. The X-drill may aggrevate that but may keep things cooler(a bit longer life?). The PBR are not tough on rotors but mileage is dissapointing. The HPS are less dusting than the PBR's and the dust is lt. gray/wht. I would have put Hawks on the rear but they did not make them at the time.
