No 930 here. But the DS 2000 works for me...

IMHO, you cannot do wrong with DS 2000's,.....

Works great from cold-to-hot, easy on rotors, and low dust.

LOTS better than OEM pads.

Not to be disagreeable here,.........

With all due respect to JW;.....Anyone using Metalmasters would cry with delight if they tried Ferodo 3410's or DS 2000's. Its simply no contest whatsoever.

Metalmasters are easy on rotors, make little or no dust, and develop little grip by comparison.

I used to use them too, and I'm VERY thankful that brake pad technology has really progressed,....

I like the Performance Friction "Z" rated pads as an upgrade over stock pads, which I used for a bit on my SC. Better grip than stock, do make some dust, no noise.

I've been told that the Ferrodo DS2000 have been discontinued the the replacement's are the DS 2500. Anyone use these yet? Are they good for a street car only, or just stick with the sotck Jurid or Texstar's.

The DS 2500's are just as well suited for street cars as their predecessors; they simply have higher heat tolerances.

All of their other attributes are unchanged,.........

I have the DS2500's and have been extremely impressed. Very little brake dust and I have yet to find their limits in VERY agressive backroad/hilly driving. They are making me delay any thoughts of brake upgrades, I need more rubber first.

OK, you guys sold me on the DS2500's. Anyone know who has them cheap? I've been unimpressed by the amount of fade that the Metal Masters on my '85. They don't seem to be able to handle the heat from a D/E. The pedal gets softer and slowing takes farther as the day goes on. Since it's time for new pads anyway, then Ferodo it is! (Don't think I could live with squeaky Pagid pads... too many bad memories of driving Mom's Volvo when I was a teenager.)

I'm not afraid to advertise on the board! IMHO, the advice Steve gave me when I was wondering about brake pads more than makes up for the measly few buck I may (or may not) have saved by shopping around.
