Hmmmmm, let's see. On a Cabrio the shiny side would be... but then again, the shiny side on a Targa would be... oh, heck, just keep the shiny side, aka the roof, up!

Hahahahah, just joking, I was looking at your gorgeous transaxle case pics, and your signature underneath it is "keep the shiny side up". Since every part of the transaxle in the pic is shiny...

But yeah, I knew what you meant.

reminds me of a story at one of our club meetings when a rep from Bridgestone was talking , he held up a picture of a contact patch and said ' this is the only part of your car that actually touches the ground " .. and I yelled from the back " UNLESS YOU ARE HAVING A REALLY BAD DAY .... "

There was an article in hot VW's with a Scricco/VW Type III wagon conversion.

Water-cooled motor in the front, air-cooled in the back with two shifters in the cockpit
