Default Current draw on 1980SC

Recently I have had a problem of my battery not holding a charge. I checked the alternator and other normal things and nothing was out of specs. Today I opened my trusty Bentley book and they had a way to test for Static current draw. I followed the procedure and low and behold, I was drawing 299 ma with ignition turned off. By pulling the fuses, I was able to see that it was the circuit for the AC blower, located in the smugglers box. I pulled the fuse and now my static draw is 13 ma. Does anyone know what would cause this to happen. I really don't mind not having AC because I haven't used it for 5 years.

TIA

Ralph

Ralph: Also, try pulling the power wire from the relay (inside the smugglers box, passenger side wall). The relay might be stuck...
