Default Replacing Wings?

Hi Guys,

Has anyone here replaced their front wings themselves?

If so, how hard of a job is it, and is there anything I should be aware of before I start?

Thanks

Craig

Not such a hard job, bolts are inside the bonnet. Or "hood" (yeah, that was for you Ice )
More bolts under the guard at the rear. Down along the leading edge of the door.
One more bolt inside the headlight bucket. You have to pull the wires out of the headlight buckets anyway.
Disconnect radio antenna if applicable.

Remove fuel filler pipe by undoing hose clamp under bonnet and vent pipe from within the fuel filler hatch. (and earth wire) Undo fuel filler hatch opening cable for inside fuel filler hatch.
Two, maybe three bolts hold top of guard to the windscreen scuttle (on each side) Must have door open and have extension on a 10mm socket.

When you and a friend pull guard off the body (it is stuck on with a type of sealant) be sure to not lose the nylon tube that the fuel filler opening cable runs through.

Good luck

Hi Craig,

I didn't swap my wings for anything I took them off so I could swap the paint that was on them.

Ice,
My wife grew up in the UK, but she immigrated to the "Lucky Country"
I know all about the translating. I find myself writing in 'North American'
