Default CIS, hot high idle

I haven't seen this via search or mentioned in any CiS info - when I was at the track and my oil temp was getting up there, my car was idling high, about 1200 RPM. I'm not sure if it's related, i.e. when hot the car idles high to keep the fan blowing harder, or if something else is going on.

Even when the oil temp lowered to about the 1/2 mark the car was idling high, basically all the way home, though it was about 100 degrees out. I haven't run the car since then so don't know if the idle is still high. I checked that the throttle is closing all the way and it is, at least now. Anyway, thanks.

Maybe the aux air regulator stuck open or opened later due to some heat related issue. Could also be some other intake leak that appeared due to the severe duty. Most likely something simple that will take some careful checking to find.

You should probably stop by your favorite shop and have the CO% checked so you have a baseline from which to work. Unlike your 993, which takes care of everything for you, the SC will need periodic maintenance, and more often than the factory recommended intervals when you track the car. If you haven't done it yet, you should probably have the valves adjusted, the plugs replaced, the ignition (plug wires, cap, rotor, etc.) checked and the CO set.
