I need a new carpet set for my 1986 911...I would prefer to have the thick plush German carpet if at all possible? I have seen sets at Vertex and Performance. Vertex wants $499 for the German stuff...has anyone out there replaced their carpet? If so where did you get it and what type did you go with...the Domestic or German? Is there a big difference between the two?
I am also in need of the factory floor mats...anyone know where you can still get these? I need a set in Cadbury (dark Brown) and would like to get the ones that say "PORSCHE" in gold or silver stitching.
Just trying to bring my baby up to NEW standards!
Thanks for any info!

Good luck on the floor mats, I tried for a while and couldnt find them either. Check out these guys for the carpet kits, they have just about everything for the interior.

Von Kiser:
The Matts, i doubt you will be able to find a Lloyd mat with a Porsche lettering on it. Porsche is not allowing anybody to use there name anymore.
I would purchase the matts and then have them embroidered yourself.
Your carpet kit, check with your local PCA chapter to find out where custom jobs are done. Here in INDY we have a guy that does carpet kits and other items.

Good luck

Although they are not original Porsche carpet sets, I have heard EXCELLENT things from people who have used Original Fit Interiors here in California. They are said to make a great quality product at a reasonable (250.00) price.
Also, just about any embroidery house can accurately stitch whatever you want (logo, lettering, etc.) ontot a set of mats for CHEAP.
