Default Spacers and Tire Balancing

Crazy question I had from reading a another post.
How much can wheel spacers affect the balance of a tire?

I've never experienced any issues like that with them.

Funny you mention...

I also run ~1" spacers on mine all around. I was going to consider bringing the spacers down, seeing if they could balance the whole assembly instead of just the wheel / tire, marking / indexing so I can duplicate later on.

Actually Fred that can be done and had it done on previous cars . I once had a wheel that just would Not ballance on the machine so I took the car to a place where they do " on the car high speed balancing" they jacked up each corner and put a mahine under to balance the entire assembly , takes into account the whole rotating mass not just the wheel. Then I just marked the stud and wheel so I could reaign them , They were wheels that could not be rotated anyway so no big deal ( directional with diferent fronts and rears )

Thanks evryone. I think I need the high speed balancing while on the car.
My front tires are 205/50ZR17 and my rear tires are 255/40ZR17. My pcar is is a 74 widebody conversion so I have spacers in the front and back. It has the upgraded turbo tie rods which leads me to believe its a tire balance issue. Love the car, but at 65-70 mph I get a vibration. Usally I just power through to past 70 then the vibration goes away. I'd like to cruise between 65-70 without the vibration. Anybody know of a shop in Connecticut where I can get a high speed balance liek theiceman suggests?
