Default Need a Porsche Mechanic in Birmingham AL

Actually trying to help out a friend in Birmingham, AL, who is in the process of buying a 1990 928GT... his first Porsche! And the car needs Belts and Rollers IMMEDIATELY!!!

He is not above going to the Dealer, if the Dealer has a good reputation for good and fair pricing on repairs...

Or... a great independent shop as well!

Suggestions???

Lived there about 15 years ago and Billy Mitchell was great to work with. His shop is Eurasian sp?. Not sure he is still there so you will have to check.

Found Billy! Eurasian Auto Service still is operating! he told my friend to run away from that 928 mach schnell, whatever that means... he says if it hasn't been touched in 40K miles, it is probably ready to have a major meltdown! So, he's off looking for something similar... I think he is going to follow my lead and get a 968 for every day entertainment... He isn't the hardcore 911SC type.
