Default Classic car INS Q's

So I got two qoutes one for 280 and one for 306...annual costs for car insurance, the car is listed as modified and insured for 20g. Is this about what you guys pay? Or does anyone have an companies that they deal with with good results as far as claims ect.

I'm paying a little less and have no mileage limit through State Farm. My zip code may be the difference in the cost, but I was surprised there was no limit to the number of miles I drive as long as they know I have other daily vehicles.

I got quotes from two, well advertised "Classic Car" Insurers. Then I contacted my current insurer that I have had for years (I currently have two other cars and a truck with them also). My current carrier agreed to a 25K value, 5K miles per year, etc. They beat BOTH the well know Classic insurers on price.

Moral: Check around ...but you may find if you have good record (and multiple cars) your present company may work with you.
