Default 2.7 Head Stud Replacement

I bought a '76 911 roller as a project car. I am finished with everything but the engine and transmission. My question is this... before I put the engine back in, is there any easy way to find out if the case/head stud repairs have been made to this 2.7?

Pete will best know but I seem to recall something about the preferred studs of Dilivar being non-magnetic. Pete?

This is a tough one, because everyone seems to do this repair different. Some will use TimeSerts, some will use Case Savers, some will put original steel studs back in, some will use Dilavar from different generations, etc. I think that all you can do, other than pulling the heads off, is to remove the rocker covers, torque the head nuts to 23.5 lb/ft, and if they all torque go ahead and run it.

Only 23.5 lb/ft for head bolts? These really are very different than the American iron I've rebuilt in the past!
