Default '83 911 SC stalls when warm

My car starts and runs well when cold (other than a minor idle surge). After 5 minutes or so of idling, or driving, the engine kills and will not restart for about 10-15 minutes. When attempting restarts, no smell of gas. Once in a while if I hold the gas pedal down all the way while cranking it will start and barely run (sounds like it is firing on 3 cylinders, very ragged) then once hot it runs fine. But lately even holding the gas pedal down does not work. It almost feels like the gas is being cut off. Any thoughts appreciated..

A bad fuel pump maybe? It can lead to bad injectors calibration...just a guess...
