You are correct, they are mounted to a bracket on the bellcrank housing by the flywheel. If you have the Bentley book, it has some very useful info on these parts and their replacement. You might want to check the connections where they plug into the 3-pluc stack: CYL Head temp sensor, referense sensor and speed sensor. The ref. and speed sensor use the same part #. You just need to make sure that you return the plug in part back into the correct socket if you do have to replace them. You will have to lift the rear of the car to replace them. But al in all it is a pretty simple task to do. As the book shows, use set the air-gap on one of the sensors, and the other one will be set correctly without having to really do anything special for its setting, the holder does this for you. Just follow the steps in the book and you should have no problems with this task. Good luck.
