I don't know if I did this right, but above are a few pictures of my new baby! '89 Carrera w/ only 14K on it. It still has the original tires with about 7,500 miles left on them!!
I look forward to seeing other peoples pride and joys!

Dear LD,
Great find! Looks like you've got a potential future preservation class concours winner there (if that's your thing), beautiful. That said, it would be worthwhile to keep the original tires (BTW, were yours Dunlops?), but I'd counsel against any serious driving on 13 year-old tires.
If concours is your aim, get another set of wheels with some new rubber for when you're driving, as opposed to showing the car.
Good luck with your beautiful Carrera and Happy New Year.

P.S. If you care to see some pix of the new engine they're somewhere down on page 2 or 3 of this forum. R.

Richard,
Yes they are the original Dunlop d40's. They actually don't even show any signs of being dry!
I'm actually trying to find a new set of tires/wheels to use for driving.

Let's see if this works:

I took so many photos at the rennsport reunion that I ran out of film and only had two shots left on the roll for the "Red Sled", pre-3.6L conversion.

Nice find. Where did you find the car? Last March, I found a 1988 Coupe with only 19k. I snapped it up in a hurry, I had been looking for over a year.
One thing you might want to consider. I would move all those tools you have hanging on the wall next to your Porsche. You'll be plenty pissed if one of them falls and hits the P-car.
Good luck with your new car.

F-15,
Beautiful (considerably slower than your other "ride", though better suited for low level flight).
Other than the paint and the color coded wheels, what were the distinguishing features of the "silver edition" in '89?
