Yep, I agree! Better photos are required, and i have some really nice ones done in 7.3 MP, but I can't figure out how to load them on this site! Guess I will have to build an album, and create a link to it!
BTW, another PCA member and friend who saw the car after I got it home has corrected me (once again!) on the color. It is L655 Platinum Metallic, with Code YG Chocolate Brown Leather. The color is really tricky, as it goes from a silver, to a gold, to a very light greenish hue depending on the light source.
I have tried some additional (small) photos, but they don't do justice to the car! I'll get to work on that album!
A bit of Related trivia: This SC was sold thru Al Holbert's Porsche Audi Store at 1425 N. Easton Rd., Warrington, PA. 18976, on August 25, 1983, and is indicated as being one of the last 60 SC's imported. It was sold new to a Dr. Paul Richardson, from the Philly area. I wonder if Dr. Richardson is still a Porsche owner, and if anyone from this Forum knows him? Be great to hear his thoughts on a 25 year old Porsche!

BUY THE CAR. THAT COLOR ALONE IS WORTH THE ASKING PRICE. YOU GET A PORSCE TO BOOT. [FONT=Arial][SIZE=1]THAT IS THE MOST POPULAR CAR IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. I see more SC,s than anything else and most are in the $25-28,000 range in autotraderthe. buy the car and love the color. The dealer was on crack! it is stunning

Yes, indeed! I bought it, and the color looks absolutely stunning in daylight! Especially nice combo w/ the Chocolate Leather...goes from Silver to Gold to Taupe, all with just a hit of metallic base...
Sorry that I can't get larger photo's to load on this site... not very computer savy "OOF" here (Official Old Fart!) If someone would like to see the Photo Album, email me an email address and i can send them to you individually!
Thanks again for all of the encouragement... I'm gld i bought it!

Ok, I confess, too, that I have always loved that color and that would influence my decision. But if it was a good deal beforehand (in the earlier discussion), and I believe it was, you got a great deal on a pristine and well-maintained classic. Congrats! You will enjoy her for yeeeaaars to come!

Absolutely, as Edward stated - congrats! I've always loved the colors, like your car, that were used in that era...

Okay, I now have another "dumb" question! Does the Alternator Strap on the '83 SC's have a Gold Foil Sticker on them like the early model 911's? My new (to me!) 83 does not have a sticker, nor is there any evidence of one ever being there.

I know you folks would be able to answer this one! If it is missing, I'll try to get one thru Sunset Porsche

All of your emissions/tune info will be on a large, rectangular sticker on the underside of the engine lid.

It is up to the owners who sell these cars to keep them in the price range they should be at. It always amazes me how little some people sell their cars for compared to other offerings.

I would not let my 83 SC go for less than $20,000. And thats today...tomorrow it will be higher.
