Default Nyliner bushings?

Anybody out there have any experience using nylon bushings in the 911 suspensions? Know where to get them?

Hi:

You REALLY don't want to use Nylon bushings on any car, much less on your 911.

Its a very poor choice for suspension bushings due to its lack of natural lubricity, aggressive hygroscopic properties, and propensity for cold flow (distortion).

We use them (as well as other plastics) for years in the middle Sixties as thats all there was and the results were quite unsatisfactory.

Thankfully, things have improved and right now, the best choices are either the OEM rubber ones or the ER Poly-Bronze ones depending on how you use the car.

Those are just dandy, but they are only made for the rear. The front end requires different solutions such as the Poly-Bronze ones or new factory A-arms.

There are some relatively new engineering spec grades of Nylon that are supposed to work real well. I have no idea how machineable the stuff is but if you are looking for something new to play with try Torlon 4435.
