Fog lights or no fog lights (a la Club Sport)

Fog lights or no fog lights (a la Club Sport)
A week ago I had the misfortune of running into a piece of wood on the freeway which damaged the lower front valence and smashed one of the fog lights of my '88 Carrera. So everything below the front bumper will be replaced. Question: should I replace the front valence with one from the '88 Carrera Club Sport, which has no fog lights, or should I just restore the car back to original? How much weight is saved by going with the Club Sport valence?
Food for thought. The car is a super low milage exconcourse car and would likely be worth more if I kept it original. But who cares?

I doubt you'd save much in weight on going to a Club Sport front valance verses the regular Carrera valance with driving lights. Those lights can't weigh all that much and if you save 5 pounds on the front, will you really feel that weight savings?
I personally like the additional lighting on the front of my '84 Carrera. Any little bit of extra lighting helps on these cars...

I have no foglights on my GP white euro SC. It is a sharp car, but I can't say that having no foglights really enhances the looks. Unless you are showing it, I'd say it's reversable and your choice.
How's the engine running ?
