89 Carrera headlamp replacement ?

89 Carrera headlamp replacement ?
The headlamps on my newly acquired and wonderful Carrera coupe are clouded (?) and I obviously would like to clean them. Upon removing the trim ring the mechanics don't look like the ones in manuals showing the adjustment screws, etc. The lenses are Bosch LE1805E, which I don't know are original or not. Should I change them to the H5? I'm not sure I want to go through the more extensive H4 changeover. The lighting from these seems OK, but the clouding is somewhat of a cosmetic issue.
Thanks for any advice.

I just checked my lenses, and you have the same one, which is the Bosch H5 system. While I haven't done it myself, I recall that you can either disassemble it to get at the lense, or remove the bulb and use a long stick/pencil/etc to move around a cloth soaked in alchohol to clean the inside of the lense.

I've done it recently.
Pull the lenses out of the car 10 min.
The easiest way for me was to use a pair of large hemostats and alcohol with a small rag on the end of the hemo's and swab the inside thru the bulb aperature. Most isopropyl alcohol is 20%+ water by volume. A small sponge would be good as well.
Just be careful that you make sure all of the fluid has evaporated before you reinstall. Put them in the sun to dry after washing with the hole up to the sun so the fluid can evaporate. Good time to do this would be when you're going to wax the car. Wash the lenses and set them out to dry, then wash and wax the car including the inside of the lense buckets. By the time you're finished with all, the lenses should be ready. Takes awhile for all the fluid to evaporate, and you don't want to take them apart twice.Make sure you unscrew the fastening screws to remove the lenses and not the lense adjustment screws. It's very obvious if you look, but both sets are in the same area.
Guess you could blow dry them with the heat gun.
