Default Well...I bought one.

New to me 79 Euro SC. Pics are from the seller. I'll add some of my own when I pick it up. It felt faster than I expected it would and is just the right kind of raw that I was hoping for. 49,XXX miles. 6 years ago it sat for 5(?) years so the guy I bought it from had all the SC engine and transmission upgrades done...tensioners, head-studs, clutch, synchros, airbox...

I really like the chrome trim which somehow seems to make the guards red less bling-y I think.

Thx for all the advice, insight, knowledge. I'm looking forward to even doing some work on this one myself (don't tell my wife...or my mechanic!)

Cheers!

Nice job! What's that extra roller thingy on the a/c mount? (Between the fan and the A/C compressor).

Very nice. Good luck. My first Porsche was a '78 SC Targa. Great car.

Looks nice. Low miles too. It appears that a PO installed an aftermarket vent system for the A/C. I remember someone posting about it previously, but can't remember where.

I think it would look great with anodized petals too... it would go with your chrome trim quite nicely.

I think that stuff is all related to the after-market A/C that is in/on the car. It works well but I am ambivalent about it as I have used A/C in any car about 5 times in my life. Removing it is something I was thinking about already.

Thx for the kind words. Oh yeah...forgot to mention that the paint is original too.

vis, looks like a really nice example. the euro/retro chrome trim, no spoilers, original paint (no accidents?!), updates... the ac may be dealer installed fact option, which has potential, or you can go further lightweight. the polished wheels takes it back, too. congrats.

A chrome trim '79. That in itself is a rare find. Most of these cars had black trim.

Nice find! Nice car!
