again not sure as I don't have an O2 sensor in my car.

I think we should make sure that the primary green wire is shielded as much as possible when doing any splicing or repair. On my car I've still got the male metal connector so I'll solder the primary wire into it and bring the outer shielding up close but not touching and put some shrink tubing around the whole deal. That way I can easily disconnect the O2 sensor when I need to. I may try to find something in my parts bin to replace the crumbled plastic bushing that the male connector goes thru so that I can attach it back to the bracket as before. If you can get the whole deal off a parts car simply splice it into the old green wire keeping the primary and shielding apart and you're done.
