flywheel removal 80 sc
I have engine out, pressure plate off. Is normal procedure to lock the crankshaft (backside at fan) pulley. I have an impact gun but Does not seem like a good thing to wop the bolts and subject the crank / bearings etc to a beating.
I'll check my Bentley also.
Followup later in the day:
made this from a piece of angle-iron (I save all the old bed frames). Removed the crank pulley + flywheel bolts. Gotta admit the crank pully bolt is very tight and worried about bending bolts etc on flywheel lock, all was well

As far as i know you should use the flywheel lock tool , in my case i did'nt had it and i locked it with a pressure plate bolts screwing it thru the flywheel and i undid the flywheel bolts one at a time and a bit every time , like it says it the manuals . It also says that you should replace all the bolts with new ones because they have been under a lot of stress.
Good luck
Good luck
