Default Sound deadener and undercoating

This is just a "heads up" for anyone looking for similar products. I have no affiliation with either of these companies. Found them both just by doing a web search.

The first is called "Fat Mat". Comes in 18" wide rolls, just cut to size, peel off the paper backing and press into place. Similar to other products out there (used by hot rod builders) ...but I found it less costly. Fatmat.com

The other product is called "Second Skin". Comes in buckets and they say it can be applied with a spray or brushed on. It is water based (easy cleanup) but is of a consistancy (think...50 wt. oil on a 10 degree day!) that I applied it easily with a brush rather that the mess/hassle of spraying.

Both of these products are used as sound deadeners in audio applications. The
people at Second Skin states its a great undercoating! I am still putting my car together so no road test/long term results available. But this stiff appears plenty TOUGH! (Cured drops spilled on the garage floor needed a sharp bladed device and a whack with the hammer to remove them).
