Default Where to drain gearbox-oil on -83 SC?

Going to change oil (to Swepco 201) in the 5-speed gearbox on my 911 SC from -83.
Been looking under the car and think I saw where to fill new oil BUT where do I drain the old? Not sure I can see the drain-plug!
And does anyone have some smart idea how to fill new oil, not so much space between gearbox and chassie, do I have to pump the oil up to the filling inlet or what?

Not too difficult, read my story HERE!

There is a plug at the bottom and one on the driver's side of the transmission.

Always make sure the fill plug is loose prior to doing the drain. If you can't get the filler open...don't drain it. I use a suction/fill pump to put the fluid in my 88 Carrera tranny. I fill the pump with Mobil 1 75w90 synthetic fluid and push the plunger and voila...it goes in. My car take 3.11 quarts of it.

Spider911,

Several of my buddies use the pump as well. the original poster should use SWEPCO though since he has a 915 Transmission not a G-50 like yours.

I use the pump from an old water fountain I had in front of my house.

1 hose in the Sweepco, the other in the tranny. Place a drip pan under car, start pump, grab beer, drink....wait for the drip to start and unplug pump.

You need a 17mm hex key to remove the drain bolt.

HarryD, I fully agree on the Swepco 201 for the 915. Makes a world of difference in the shifting. When I put Mobil 1 in my G50, it was also like night and day. gotta do it again since I've put almost 40K on it since last lube change.
